What is that I have learned this semester?

Well throw this semester, I've learned a lot of stuff, like knowing the difference between chicanos and spanglish users. I have also learned parts of the culture of other English speaking countries, just like India, Jamaica, Australia, etc.
I have also read some poems, non-sense poems that gives us an idea of what the autor wanted us to really pay attention to, like the poem 'The Soldier'. This class gave me an idea of how life is outside in different English speaking countries, and how they categorize their English, just like in England and the movie that we saw 'My Fair Lady'.
Knowing how the different varieties of English act, improves my understanding of the people in the rest of the world. After finishing this semester, I believe I'll be able to travel to different countries and fluently speak to their people.

Maybe, I will suggest to apply our English knowladge in this class, somewhere to help us improve our English skills. Maybe going to 'La Enbajada' , where people normally speak English, and i dont know, make them an interview or what ever, just doing something that we will  have to apply our English skills in real life.
