What should we learn, English as a lingua franca or "formal" English?

Lingua franca it’s a language used to communicate with people not sharing the same to tongue, commonly used as a third language. Formal English, it’s the English that you learn when you’re born or have lived good enough in an English-speaking country.

In my opinion, I think we all should learn formal English, because, even though lingua franca it’s understandable, it isn’t correct at all. It could have grammar misspelling, or even accent mispronunciations. With formal English, we all should be available to communicate and understand each other, because we all would be talking the correct way that English should be spoken.

If everybody put some efforts on learning formal English, it could be achieved.

Hope you like

Yours Emilio.
